On wings On wings my thoughts carry me far away, Away over cities, lakes to an alternate place. I try, what I saw and heard, to remember, Remember their faces, retrieve their words. As guest I was received, cared for and asked, Asked, if I am alright, my lateness deplored. Faintly I dreamt, I've been invited long ago, Ago to listen to their high and airy songs. Here under the roofs, I've to forget them, back, - Back, where stones dilapidate and lights deceive.
